Likes:
Mecko is an easy going guy and likes many to most things especially those relating to his element. He loves hot, tropic or dry places, and commonly ventures to deserts and islands as well as volcanos as he feels at peace in these places. He enjoys being busy and being out and about, though sports are something he really enjoys. Mecko loves the rain and other water elements, though he can't be in any too long as he is a fire elemental. Mecko also loves the sight of snow and the holidays of the seasons. He also is quite fond of practical jokes

Dislikes:
Though Mecko likes the look of freshly fallen snow, he cannot stand the cold, whether it is edible or otherwise. He is not too fond of physical contact as he has a hard time controlling his own body temperature and from time to time will accidently burn the person he is touching. He dislikes sitting around or being lazy and he often finds lazy or unmotivated people frustrating or annoying and often will try to get them moving. Mecko is not fond of sweets and much prefers spicy food.

Fears:
Mecko fears ice, from ice cubes and ice cream to blizzards and ice manipulators. He will act big and bad when it comes up in conversation, but pull out an ice cream cone or tell him you can control ice and he’ll hide in the corner. Though Mecko likes rain he cannot stand hale or lightning due to his childhood, but the sound of thunder is fine to him, though he might take cover if he hears it.

Strengths:
Mecko is very athletic and can move very quickly due to his love of sports and constant practice. Transformation is a skill of Mecko’s that comes with his Species as it is common for a Jinn to have this ability. His abilities are not completely developed and he can only change from his Jinn form to his human form as he does not show his Jinn form to many. He can also transform into animals no bigger than a large dog, but he wants to continue to develop this ability so that he can eventually transform into larger creatures. Another Jinn ability is to grant wishes, but he can only grant extremely small things that he can do from his other abilities and his physical ability such as a sandwich, a hug, or to see some sort of fire show. Fire Manipulation is Mecko’s other ability, being a fire elemental Jinn, he has the ability to control fire and also to summon it from within his body. He always has a small glow to himself due to the fire build up in his body. It will grow brighter depending on how long he does not release the buildup. He needs to learn to better control the fire as he sometimes slips up and can cause damage to things and people around him.

Weaknesses:
Ice and water are Mecko’s more serious weaknesses. Being a fire elemental he cannot withstand long periods in water or rain until it begins to “burn” and ice will all together destroy his body and could eventually kill him if he is stuck in it for too long. He would die in artic climates as the fire keeping him alive would snuff out and he would turn to a coal like substance.

Goals:
Mecko wants to meet others and become friends with people who understand him as well as learn to better control his elemental side and be able to actually have physical contact with others so that he can build better relationships. He also wants to learn to grant wishes and be a better magic wielder so that he can be a better Jinn.

Personality:
Mecko is a playful, flirty and excited fellow. He represents his element well, being energetic and wild, he is fun to be around and finds talking to strangers easy and interesting. Mecko is the type of person who will tell you what he wants and what he likes and does not like. He will also let you know if he likes or dislikes you, though it is hard to make him really dislike you.
Mecko longs for friendships and once he makes a relationship he will do everything in his power to keep it stable and keep them happy. He is quite protective of people he becomes close with and will often appear jealous, though he is just genuinely concerned for the others wellbeing. In an intimate relationship Mecko will take the initiative and provide the romance and fun in the relationship and he will do everything and anything for that person. When Mecko is depressed or in a more deep emotion, his coloring will turn to a gentle blue, as will the fire he controls.
Mecko likes you no matter what on first introductions he will laugh, joke, flirty and be as good as gold to you, though he may tease but it is all in good fun, but once you do him wrong or someone he knows you can bet your biscuits you will get burned.

History:
Born from the flames of a burning tropical jungle Mecko took his first breath. The first site Mecko had was the storm that put out his birthing flame and he instantly fell in love with it as he saw that the rain kept the fire from destroying everything. Though he soon found he also would be snuffed out if he stayed in the rain for too long so he quickly made his way out of it and just spent his first few days watching the tropical storms. Though soon enough he was found by humans during a lightning storm one evening and in their fear they chased him off once they realized he was a Jinn causing his fear of lightning from the traumatic experience as he assumed the lightning came from angry humans. Mecko traveled a long while before he came across two other Jinn, a Jinn of flame and a Jin of Lightning who both took him under their wings. They began to teach him how to control his flame and about the world becoming his only friends and guardian figures.
As the years past, Mecko realized that the two Jinn were of evil nature, and often stole away human souls or destroyed villages and the lives of creatures. Mecko disliked the destruction they caused and trained himself in his skills of Transformation until he was able to take a human form. He then ran away from the two Jinn and tried to help the villages that were destroyed but soon the Jinn hunted him down. The lightning Jinn proceeded to scold Mecko with his lightning and then went and destroyed the towns Mecko had helped, further intensifying his fear of the element. Mecko spent his first hundred years with these two Jinn as he feared them and wanted to keep himself safe from the lightning the one Jinn scolded him with. He did everything in his power to keep the two Jinn satisfied with doing evil deeds and destruction and pretending as though he enjoyed it. Eventually Mecko found himself becoming corrupt as he became easier and easier to destroy things and it was becoming less pretending of his enjoyment. This scared him more than the two Jinn so he left one night when the Jinn rested. He traveled to a nearby witchdoctor and reasoned with him, and finally convinced the man to travel with him to the Jinn’s hideout in the jungle. Mecko told the witchdoctor of an incantation that would trap Jinn in a lamp, and so the witchdoctor used the incantation on the two Jinn. As Mecko went to leave the witchdoctor entrapped Mecko figuring he was also a Jinn. The witchdoctor kept one of the Jinn for himself but sold the other two, Mecko included.
Mecko’s first owner was a rich elderly woman in Egypt, but as Mecko had never granted wishes before he was incapable to grant her first wish, which was to be young again. He tried to explain that he was a young Jinn and had only started his magical control. The woman understood and realized that this was just a boy and in her kindness wished for his freedom. So in return Mecko stayed with her until her dying days, cooking, cleaning and being with her in her times of need. When she passed he was heartbroken, but after time he got over her loss and moved on. He traveled the world and trying to figure out how it worked and realized not all people were bad. A few times he was chased down by superstitious people or magically talented humans that tried to enslave him. Over time he kept himself emotionally detached and kept his distance from most humans and kept clear of all Jinn, until he finally fell upon the OtherWorlde School and hopped for a new and better take on life and the hope of new relationships and control.

Misc. Information:
-Tends to stiffen up or freak out a bit if you try to touch him.
-His spikes, hair and flame will change to various colors of fire from white blue or red/orange depending on his emotions. Blue: being depression/serious emotion such as love. White: because he’s extremely curious/ learning. Various orange/red: color depending on other emotions.

Mecko: *He fiddles with his hands as he makes his way around outside as he was uncertain where to go and where he was going he just continued his aimless stride.* What to do…*He said under his breath as he traveled under the shade of the tree’s. He continued walking until he came across a small stream and a smile graced his lips. He took a deep breath fell back onto the ground* How nice…*He smiled to himself and lay back in the ground listening to the soft sound of flowing water beside him as he created small figures out of his flames.*

Paragraph Sample:
The sun beat down on the young Jinn as he traveled through the grass and trees. The sun felt wonderful on his skin after a few days of cloud and rain so he rejoiced in its warm rays. “What to do…” Mecko sighed as he created creatures from his flame and watched as they danced off his hands and away until they dissipated in the breeze. The Jinn smiled softly and inhaled deeply as he gazed at the treetops and the animals scurrying around above and beneath him. Mecko made it to a stream gazed at the cool waters for a moment before dropping down beside it and hummed softly to himself as he plotted different pranks and other mischief while creating figures in the air with his fire as he listened to the flow and splash of the stream beside him.
